LOTTE Duty Free respects the human rights of all stakeholders throughout business processes,
and strictly complies with global human rights and labor-related guidelines.

Human Rights Management

LOTTE Duty Free aspires to contribute to the prosperity of humanity by pursuing human rights management that can positively impact not only the lives of customers but also the society at large. LOTTE Duty Free will therefore respect and value the dignity and worth of all stakeholders throughout the entire management process in all business fields, thereby contributing to the prosperity of humanity.

Customers and all business stakeholders are subject to LOTTE Duty Free's human rights policy. The scope of application includes not only regular and non-regular domestic employees, but also subsidiaries, overseas local employees, expatriates, business partners, consignees, and partners in all business relationships who are researching and working on customer service.

This Policy complies with international human rights standards and norms, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

Management Principles

Respect of Human Rights
We respect the dignity and worth of every person and strive to prevent any act that violates human rights.
Freedom of Association
We provide all employees with ample communication opportunities for sound organizational development.
Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are guaranteed in accordance with the labor-related laws of each country and region, and union membership, activities, or organization are not subject to discrimination.
Prohibition of Forced Labor
We do not require employees to work against their will by restricting their mental or physical freedom, such as through assault, intimidation, or confinement, and as a condition of employment, we do not maintain employee personal documents such as identification cards or work permits issued by the government. In addition, there are no restrictions on access to and use of restrooms, potable water, employee lounge areas, and external medical facilities.
Prohibition of Child Labor
We do not employ children under the age of 15 (or based on the age of children according to the labor laws of each country or region), and all new hires’ ages are verified for this purpose. In the case of hiring minors under the age of 18, we do not assign them work that is hazardous to their safety and health, and we continuously monitor compliance with restrictions on night work and overtime work.
Anti-discrimination
We do not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, promotion, education, wages and benefits, and other personnel matters based on gender, race, nationality, color, age, religion, political belief, gender identity, disability, marital status, pregnancy, etc..
In addition, we strive to develop a corporate culture that eliminates discrimination and values diversity.

/Workplace
Harassment
We do not allow any act of sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as any act of harassment that inflict physical or mental pain by exploiting one's superior position or relationship. Sexual harassment and workplace harassment prevention training is conducted and a reporting channel is established for damage relief. In the event of a case of damage, immediate protection measures are taken for the victim, disciplinary action is taken against the perpetrator, and preventative measures are prepared.
Compliance with Working Conditions
We comply with the labor laws of each country and region regarding standard working hours, overtime, breaks, and holidays. The worker's consent is required for overtime work, and overtime pay is paid.
Each executive and employee is paid a salary that exceeds the legal minimum and is accompanied by a payslip.

Human Rights Management Governance

LOTTE Duty Free develops and monitors human rights-related risk management and improvement tasks through a human rights management-related decision-making organization to respect and protect human dignity in all business operations.

※ Human rights management organizations: ESG-specific teams, HR, ER, business ethics, compliance management, etc.

Human Rights Management Training

LOTTE Duty Free conducts human rights management training to increase employee understanding and awareness of human rights, as well as to provide internal human rights management directives and action plans.

※ Regular training at least once a year: LOTTE Code of Conduct, improvement of disability awareness, sexual/workplace harassment prevention, occupational safety and health, data privacy, etc.

Reporting Channel & Grievance Procedure

LOTTE Duty Free operates a channel through which executives, employees, and other individuals and organizations aware of human rights risks can report human rights violations.
Particularly, we prevent and respond to workplace harassment and sexual harassment by enforcing relevant rules to ensure employee safety.
