  • Chapter 1

    Regulations on Gifts

    Article 1 [ Purpose ]

    1. The following additional rules of the ethics code are to promote business fairness and trade transparency by clearly defining the rules to manage gifts received in connection with duties.

    Article 2 [ Subject and Scope of Application ]

    1. These rules are applied to all employees throughout the company, as well as to cases when gifts worth KRW 30,000 and over are received
    2. These rules are also applied to gifts received from business partners overseas.

    Article 3 [ Definition of Terms ]

    1. Gifts include cash, check, cards, gift certificates, tickets for a show, vouchers, goods and so on.

    Article 4 [ Responsibility and Authority ]

    1. Employees of the company should not request gifts or lay any kind of expectation to this end on anybody in connection with the business.
    2. For gifts received, employees should immediately notify the Gift Return Center or the Staff in charge of Ethics Management and hand them over to the concerned department. (The Gift Return Center is in operation at all times.)
    3. The Staff in charge of Ethics Management that is notified of such gift should record the details of the fact and manage the record in accordance with the defined procedures.

    Article 5 [ Treatment of Gifts ]

    1. The company makes it a rule to return any received gifts and report them.
    2. If the gifts are difficult to return, they should be donated to an internal auction or a public organization
    3. The profits created in the internal auction should then be donated to a public organization after having them recorded in a report.

  • Chapter 2

    Regulations on Management of Samples

    Article 1 [ Purpose ]

    1. The following regulations are established to promote a healthy and sound ethical corporate culture through reasonable and transparent business.

    Article 2 [ Subject and Scope of Application ]

    1. The regulations are applied to all employees throughout the company and the employees of the departments, particularly when receiving sample products.

    Article 3 [ Definition of Terms ]

    1. A sample is defined as a trial product/tester that is necessary for work.
    2. However, in these regulations, the gifts also include internal/external promotion materials, free gifts, souvenirs and promotion goods.

    Article 4 [ Responsibility ]

    1. A team leader (a branch manager) should carry out training for his/her employees on the Regulations on the Management of Samples. Also, he/she should make sure that the samples are properly managed with frequent monitoring and checkups.

    Article 5 [ Detailed Criteria for Management ]

    1. As a rule, samples should only be utilized for business purposes.
    2. The company makes it a rule to reveal one’s intention to return trial goods / testers when received from a partner company. After use, the trial goods/testers must be returned.
    (Easily resalable items such as bags, clothes and electronics should not be received in the form of trial goods/ testers.)
    3. When receiving any sample, the concerned department should leave a record of its receipt and return in a register.
    4. Samples supplied by a partner should not be used for personal purposes and should not be separately requested for any purpose other than business reasons.
    5. For promotional materials, free gifts, and souvenirs, only those with a company logo can be accepted.
    6. When receiving promotional materials, free gifts or souvenirs worth 30,000 KRW and or more, it should be immediately reported to Staff in charge of Ethics Management. Any item whose value is not exactly known should also be reported.

  • Additional Rules

    Article 1 [ Effective Date ]

    1. This ethics code comes into effect from March 1, 2012 (amended on March 1, 2012).
    2. This ethics code is amended and comes into effect from March 1, 2015.
    3. This ethics code is amended and comes into effect from November 1, 2015.
    4. This ethics code shall take effect on September 17, 2021.
    5. This ethics code shall take effect on September 14, 2022.

    Article 2 [ Prohibition of Retroactive Application ]

    1. This code shall not apply to any action prior to the code’s enforcement date.

    Article 3 [ Criteria of Translation ]

    1. For matters that are not stipulated in this ethics code or in case of a discrepancy in translation, decisions and translation of the Ethics Committee should be followed
