Lotte Duty Free (CEO Lee Kap) announced on Nov. 23 that a group of international tourists visited to shop for the first time in about two years since the start of the pandemic. Following the implementation of the Korea–Singapore Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), a group of about 10 tourists from Singapore arrived in Korea on Nov. 16, and visited Lotte Duty Free Main Store in Myeong-dong in Jung-gu, Seoul in the afternoon on Nov. 22 to enjoy roughly an hour of duty-free shopping. They are scheduled to return to Singapore on Nov. 23 after visiting some major attractions in Korea, such as Nami Island in Chuncheon, Haeundae Beach in Busan, and Hahoe Folk Village in Andong over the course of 8 days and 7 nights.

An official of Lotte Duty Free said, "Despite being a small tourist goup, their visit was symbolic because they were the first group of international customers visiting Lotte Duty Free since the start of the pandemic. We are preparing step-by-step to arrange for the increase in international tourists while also paying following COVID-19 protocols for a safer shopping environment."
