In February 1980, the first LOTTE Duty Free shop opened in Sogong-dong, Seoul. Subsequently, branches have opened in Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Store, Incheon Airport Terminal 2 Store, Gimpo Airport, COEX, Gimhae Airport, Busan Store, Jeju Store, World-Tower Store, nine other domestic branches, and in seven locations internationally starting with Indonesia’s Jakarta Airport in 2012 then moving on to Guam, Japan and Vietnam. Since developing the duty free retail industry’s first K-star marketing strategy in 2004, LOTTE Online Duty Free has created celebrity marketing plans with the greatest K-stars around including Lee Min-ho, Lee Joon-gi, Lee Jong-seok, Ji Chang-wook, Choi Ji-woo, 2PM, Super Junior, TWICE and NCT. LOTTE Duty Free communicates with over 500,000 customers domestically and internationally through concerts and meet-and-greets.
